DESCRIPTIONS:

Cellular phones have been an integral part of daily life for many Filipinos. Nowadays, cellphones are not just for texting and calling anymore; they are also useful as a portable entertainment system, a media device, a mobile office, and a tool for connecting online. While these mobile handsets were traditionally used for communication and staying in touch, newer technology now allows users to “buy” with their mobile phones. That’s right – modern handsets such as smart phones are already capable of doing plenty of other tasks including mobile banking, shopping, and bills payment.

The Nokia credit card

The user-friendly interface, affordable prices, and wide selection of stylish and functional handsets make Nokia the widely used and most popular brand among mobile phones in the Philippines. Standard Chartered has partnered with Nokia to come up with the Nokia Standard Chartered credit card. This unique credit card combines your credit card and your mobile phone, which are arguably two of the most important things in this day and age.

Be rewarded for staying connected

This Nokia credit card lets you enjoy the following benefits:

  • A 5% cash rebate on your postpaid cellphone bills – Through EZ Bills you can automatically charge your bill to the credit card and then you can get this cash rebate.
  • A 10% rebate on your prepaid load transactions – Reload your prepaid account by sending a text message to your Prepaid Load Facility and then the bill will be charged to the credit card.
  • Access to the Nokia Best Deals Program – This feature lets you save on Nokia phones if you own a Nokia Standard Chartered credit card.
  • 0.5% cash rebate – Use your credit card to pay for other purchases and services to get this rebate.

Cash rebates

The cash rebates allow you to earn from the purchases charged to the Nokia credit card and they are computed per every transaction. While a 0.5% cash rebate is provided on all purchases, there is an additional 9.5% cash rebate on transactions made with the prepaid load facility. This means that the rebate is available up to the maximum of 2,500-peso worth of prepaid transactions per month. There is also a 4.5% cash rebate for our postpaid bills via EZ Bills, which is up to a maximum of 2,500 pesos a month.

You can redeem the cash rebates via the cash credit, which enables you to use them as cash credits, or through the Nokia Best Deals, which allows you to use your rebates when buying a new Nokia handset.
